Judy Youngblood

Judy Youngblood was born in El Paso, Texas. She returned to Texas in 1976 to teach printmaking at the University of North Texas in Denton where she taught printmaking and book arts for more than twenty years. She is an artist who in 2014 will have solo shows at the Amarillo Museum of Art, Flatbed, Austin, TX and at William Campbell Contemporary Art, Forth Worth. She and her husband, Dan Butler, are interested in and collect early Texas prints and works on paper, particularly by Dallas women artists. In 2009, longtime CASETA Board member, Jack Davis, invited her to attend the CASETA Symposium in Ft. Worth which encouraged her further interest in the organization. At that time she was serving on the board of the McKinney Avenue Contemporary in Dallas and was also a member of the Paper Guild at the Amon Carter Museum. She then joined the CASETA Board in 2010.
