Curriculum Project

CASETA Early Texas Art Curriculum

CASETA engaged the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts (NTIEVA) to design and develop appropriate instructional materials to assist teachers in using Early Texas Art in their instruction. The NTIEVA team designed three prototype units: Texas Skies (K-3), Visions of Texas (Upper Elementary/Middle School), and Dignity of Work (Upper Elementary/Middle School.)

These instructional units are correlated to the TEKS, and incorporate extensive examples of Texas art to teach these objectives. Each unit includes teacher and student materials.

Educators wanting to learn more or to secure copies of the curriculum may visit NTIEVA at http://www.art.unt.edu/ntieva/pages/programs/pro_currdevelopment.html.
